Shane's thumb did finally heal. It took about a week and then it took another week for the dead skin and nail to fall off. We've really been enjoying the pool this summer. It just started to get really hot around here. We are really loving our new kitties. Its nice to watch Smokey play with them. Sawyer loves them too, but Smokey still doesn't like Sawyer. We have one more detail on the bathroom and then I'll be posting done pictures. It might take a little bit on that. Its the countertop and we might have to repaint one wall but we will see. Then its off to the next project.

We are all fine and Colby is finally better from his fifth bout of that yuckys AGAIN! We are enjoying our kitties and are relitter training them. They have had a few accidents. Our neighbor recently added a nice privacy gate for us on the front of the house. He's been working on the side fence between our two houses. He just started last weekend, and this is what they got done this weekend. It is very nice and I'm thankful to have a new fence. I'm sure he isn't too thankful that Sawyer pooped in his yard last week. UGH!

Fill up the washer TUB!!!! Sooo I spent my weekend doing load after load after load of sickness laundry. But, I think we are through with the laundry, there has been no sickness today. Colby is up and about. A big change from this weekend. Matthew and Shane are still well, and Ted is slowly coming back to life. I have never had a weekend like this before. I have never had a sick child like that before. Now I know why we have healthy kids. We don't do sick that good around here. I am so tired from my weekend. Colby was so weak we were carrying him from bed to bathroom just about every 30 minutes. He ate some dinner tonight and his tummy seemed to take it so I think we are doing good at this point.

This has been one heck of a week and its not even over yet. A couple of months ago I wasn't wanting to get around stomach virus germs because Colby had never gotten that and I wasn't ready to see how he would deal with it. Well its a few months later and he has had a stomach bug exactly three times now. The third time was the charm. LOL the first time his lips just got white and he complained his body hurt, the second time he threw up once or twice, but whew this time he has been sick for a solid day.
We've been quarantining him to my floor on a soft cushy pallet right next to the bathroom with the SICK people tv to watch. He has finally fallen asleep so I hope he can get some rest. I guess he caught the virus from me since I have been feeling a little yucky for two days now. Ted has another virus and he has had it since this weekend. Its a bad cough, bronchitis type thing. He has some good drugs now so he should be getting over it soon. I really hope Matthew and Shane don't get either bug.

Its a Miracle. Colby has been wearing his Elmo shoes, that I bought over 6 months ago. Shane has always worn different shoes off and on, but the fact that Colby made a change is awesome. He loves the lights on the side of his Elmo shoes. I'm no longer worried that he will only wear Crocs all of the time. We know now that he will wear other types of shoes. YEAH!

For those of you who have been checking on the blog and finding nothing, sorry. I know only a few people check but I still wanted to explain for those of you who do. I really haven't been home and when I am home the office is the last place I have time to do anything in. We are all really busy with Scouts, Yearbook and school. We have a huge project coming up and we only have two weeks left to work on it. This is my warning the website stuff will be when and IF we have time. Matthew starts his first research paper this month too. This will be the first of many I am sure. Most of his load is high school work even though his grade is eighth grade. We are doing a big Government / History project that I will be excited to tell you about when he has completed it. I will find some way of posting it. Okay so we got another jumping thing to add to our collection. It was a pain to put together. Ted was not impressed. After how much energy he saw they used jumping on it, he thought it was a good thing. Hey one more thing to take all that energy out on. Now that I believe it is official I can share Colby's good news. We are all Potty Trained! Yeah! Colby started this on his own a little after our November Disney Trip. He has been potty training for a while (Since before he was two) but for some reason after November he did great. I wasn't very consistant since he has had his potty sitting out since he was 18 months. After Christmas he has just done well on his own. He did it by himself and he hasn't had any relapses or accidents in a month or longer. 9I know that we will probably have some of these eventually) We just started taking him out in underwear THIS WEEK instead of putting him in pullups. I bought underwear in the beginning of December but he didn't really start wearing in until the middle of December. (Me again but his pullups were always dry) I am still in shock since he got this so much quicker than his brothers. Matthew and Shane were potty trained with number 1 for a long time until they got number two. Like it took them alot longer months and months later for the second step. We are SOOO proud of him.

We got to enjoy the beach for a little bit this evening. The water was a little chilly but the kids had a blast anyways. These pictures were taken with our video camera. The digital camera I took out with us today is BROKEN. I'm not sure if it will work again, but its one of the ones we don't use as much. I cheated and posted pictures I took last night after I already put the other pictures on the blog. I was too busy today doing stuff, and I wasn't home to get any pictures. As you can see these guys really like to get in costumes and pretend. Its a pain to pick up different outfits and help them change all the time, but they enjoy it so much. Right now I'm letting them keep a mounded up pile of outfits in their room. I have no better way of keeping them easy to get to. I'm trying to come up with a solution but I don't have any good ones yet. Matthew and I went out to look for some new clothes for him and then we got to go to the library by ourselves. He found a few books he wanted and I got the other guys a whole bunch I knew they would enjoy. Train books for Colby, and Cowboy and lots of Adventure books for Shane. I also picked up some bug books that have great pictures. This evening we went out to a nice seafood resturant on the water, and had a nice time. So I never got around to getting any pictures.

Trying to figure out what to do for Matthew's upcoming birthday in between 2 Boy Scout camping trips, a week long school trip, a moms retreat, and Ted's birthday, I need to get a little more time. If I had only thought ahead last weekend we could be having a party this weekend. We have a few plans but we will have to see what pans out. We just might be celebrating with friends in March (No kidding) In the meantime the second half of the school year is in FULL swing, and I am swinging. LOL! We just have alot of things coming up and we still have schoolwork to do, in between all of it. We've managed to fit in playdates and stay at home days too, so we are doing great. Today was a stay at home day, and some friends came over to play too. Ted picked the boys up some Putty for boys yesterday. Matthew came outside and freaked out our neighbors with his putty. We took down our tree today. So its a little early for some people and late for those who take down all of their decorations on New Years Day. We had alot of candy canes from this year, that we managed to accumulate. What do you do with old candy canes? Save them for next years decorations for the tree? Recycle them? Eat them? How about give them to your cat for a special treat?

Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

...so it looks like Shane cut off a little bit more than I realized. Yesterday I just didn't notice. He did manage to cut some of his bangs, but it could be alot worse. I don't think most people would even notice. Today we didn't even realize at first because Colby was really sick this morning. I had a weird bit of a virus with a really strong major headache last night that lasted a couple of hours. It hurt so bad my stomach felt sick too. So back to Colby and his morning. He woke up and did his normal potty thing and then he climbed in bed with us (Which is a little weird) Then after we all got up he started screaming his head off (Which is very normal) I happened to think maybe I should ask him if something was wrong. His lips were gray or some weird color combination but not what they should have been. When Matthew or Shane's lips get like that its usually a throw up virus. He then told me his mouth was hot, and then said I have to go to the bathroom. We put him on the toilet and I told Ted wow he is really sick. He never did use the toilet. He cried I need medicine and held his Nemo blanket to his mouth. (Which still hurt) We put a pallet down in the bathroom because I knew he would eventually need to throw up or something. Well he laid on the floor of the bathroom for awhile and his eyes were weird and he was extremely tired. We started asking him questions, like what did you eat. Even though he looked weird he answered all of our questions normally. We finally put him in our bedroom on the floor (I thought this would be a big THROW UP MESS mistake) He slept for an hour and then woke up very hungry and kept asking for food all day. We fed him (Me all the time thinking he was going to throw it all up) He looks really sick now (No white lips anymore but he is pale and his eyes are puffy and sicky looking) If this is how he takes a throw up virus (I'll take it) Even though I was really scared this morning thinking something other than a virus. Matthew gets sick like this and has one episode of throw up and maybe a few bathroom times and then he is done, Shane on the other hand is sick two days, and then better then sick again until almost a week has gone by. Then it takes him a few days (last time 2 weeks) to bounce back (Which I should be thankful for since he is always NON STOP) Hopefully Colby will be the one and only to get this weird sickness besides me. So all the people we played with and saw over the past few days (Even Yesterday) I guess Colby might have passed germs on to you all.

Disco Fever

This morning I found big clumps of BROWN hair in the bathroom trash can. Someone gave them self a haircut this morning. At first I thought it might be Sawyer hair but there was too much. Then I found a spiky part on the back of Shane's head. Luckily you can't see his haircut you can just feel it.Shane somehow has picked up some kind of Dance Addiction. He is constantly moving, dancing and wiggling. Every times he hears any type of music or beat going on he turns into a dancing freak. Last night we went over to a friends house and he had a blast dancing to music. They have a BIG disco ball and it was hilarious to watch them all dancing. Matthew got the same disco ball for Christmas but his is much smaller. They got the disco ball and the black light out tonight and had a mini dance party, until laughing at each other with the black light won out.

Shane got a couple of new lego sets for Christmas, so we put them together today. Then it got us in the Lego mood so we got out Matthew's box of Legos to see if we had all the pieces to build some other stuff. Matthew and I stayed up late trying to find pieces to put together some of his old sets.

Today we enjoyed the breezy nice bug free weather and fed the birds. We went to feed the ducks and geese but the seagulls (Ted calls them "Beach Chickens") were too fast and got most of our bread. You know they are the same birds that yell out MINE MINE and Mine from the movie Finding Nemo.
